Teamwork makes the dream work! In 2017, Robin Gilles had the idea for us to spend the weekend in her Poconos home with fellow Moms facing a childhood cancer diagnosis. What began as such a kind, generous and loving gesture that weekend turned into Kisses for Kyle creating a new program to support our Moms & Dads by bringing each group together so they can connect, be in a space with others who get each other without having to say a word, to laugh, cry, enjoy downtime away from times of unfathomable levels of stress and make connections which very well last a lifetime. So after our program began, Amy Servis joined in to donate their Pocono's homes for our getaways. Each year as our nonprofit grows, our program grows with us. It takes A LOT of help from many kindhearted generous partners and donors. Some who know us and some who are introduced to us. We treasure everyone who joins us in helping our beloved families in ways we find can help bring much needed support. Most of us don't know what we need to help us so when an opportunity is presented to us and we are brave enough to accept it, it can position us to a kinder and gentler space we thought we had forever lost. I speak to you as a parent who has been there where we feel so isolated and trapped in the strong grip childhood cancer has over us. So for everyone who joins in to provide this comfort, care and love, please know you are helping to make a positive and long lasting impact.

Thank you to Robin & Tom for opening your home to our parents time and time again along with all of the efforts before, during and after. You are a family who has lived this journey and it is so beautiful how much you love our families. Thank you Amy for digging so deep for each parent getaway by finding new and stronger ways to help. You found us when you heard we needed holiday support many years back and your level of care continues to grow stronger in ways that is simply admirable and strongly appreciated. Thank you to all 9 Lake Harmony homeowners who jumped right in without hesitation when Amy presented our weekend to you. Amy Reese & Kevin, Tony Kindness, Staci Sklar, Chris and Becky Fuhry, Karen Filoon, Julie Scheiring, Fran Azzilonna Shesh, Paul and Andrea Urenovich & Gerry & Lisa Connor, you helped Kisses for Kyle and all of our Moms attending in such a kindhearted and generous manner. A sincere thank you to each of your cleaning services for joining in by donating their time and efforts as well, it's truly beautiful. Thank you to George Hayeck for your very kind, generous and fun donation through Lake Harmony Golf Cart Rentals along with wanting to join us as we continue to grow our program, our Moms had the best time riding around in your golf carts! Thank you as always to Bob & Sharon for joining our families to capture special moments for all of us to treasure. We love you both beyond measure. Thank you Megan as always for helping me keep everything overly organized and in a very timely manner. We run on very minimal manpower while helping many people and you truly help us move it along to maximize every effort. Thank you to Nancy for always getting it done, whatever the it is. You don't turn down any of my crazy requests for us to make our positive impacts and each time they are always so appreciated. Thank you to Rich for your generous contribution which helped us provide groceries to 3 of our homes this weekend. Thank you to everyone who contributed gifts and yummy treats to our Moms too! Marilyn Schiff with beautiful earrings, Sheryl's Place with yummy and beautiful chocolate covered pretzels, Kindness Kookies for your delicious kookies we all love, Cookies for Kids' Cancer Beth Robertson all the way from California was such an extra special care package, Barbara Glucksman-Hewitt always up to something and this time cozy socks to add, Tina Libby Caranci & Pat for the beautifully scented bath bombs, Sharon Auslander Shapiro for always sharing your love with providing special makeup pouches, along with all of our generous contributors throughout the year who helps us to fund the portions of our programs not covered by our generous in kind donors. We were also able to provide groceries, bottles of wine and spending money over and above all of the generosity and kindness provided.

We are SO APPRECIATIVE to have the opportunity to help make these positive impacts for our families who deserve this peace, care and love, THANK YOU!!!!

What a love story this is!!

This weekend, Kisses for Kyle hosted 37 Moms facing a childhood cancer diagnosis in the Pocono’s with TEN donated homes!!! Our Moms drove from throughout the tri-state region where we support our beloved families to join together. We began hosting our parent weekends in 2018 and prior to this year, the most parents we hosted at once was 16! We were able to make it happen due to a tremendous amount of teamwork which included many generous and giving partners & donors along with our amazing team members. Each beautiful home was stocked with lots of groceries, a bottle of wine, yummy treats and a gift bag which included spending money for each of our Moms. We have received not only tremendous feedback and appreciation from Moms who attended, we have since received additional generous & kind support in the Pocono’s to add to our next weekend getaway in the Fall for our Dads!

Lots of laughter, tears, hugs, care, fun and needed relaxation took place. Our Moms enjoyed going out together for meals and fun like kayaking, ziplining, hot tubs, fire pits, hiking, golf carts throughout the neighborhood, games, gatherings at the homes, along with making many new connections and lifelong bonds.

I’ll continue to share the joy through additional posts this week highlighting our partners and donors. For the moment, I was so excited to share with everyone such a special time spent. I’m sharing a few photos in this post, but please take a little time to click on the link provided with a beautiful photo album Bob Steck put together for all of us. It will surely brighten your day!!

Words just cannot describe how wonderful it was. Thank you to everyone involved! Thanks is not enough!!!

Fabulous Fabulous, God Bless all of you

On Thursday evening, April 18th, Kisses for Kyle was selected as @macys community partner with their grand opening of their Mount Laurel Centerton location! Over and above this special honor, Kisses for Kyle was provided with a very generous $5000 grant! We invited 20 of our beloved families facing a cancer diagnosis out to participate in our special celebration! Each family was surprised with a special shopping spree! Additionally, we had the rare opportunity to invite 3 of our long term community partners to join in our festivities with their own surprise of shopping sprees! Mike Menschner joined by his wife Marybeth with M ENTERTAINMENT, is our longest running community partner and friend as we celebrate a 25 year anniversary! Mike began supporting us several months after Kyle’s passing and has continued to love, care and support our families throughout each year by providing music, fun and entertainment at our special family events! Caitlin Quirk is an integral support to helping provide a full day of fun in Ocean City New Jersey to hundreds upon hundreds of our families for over a decade through Bowfish Kids as well as supporting our families in many ways all year long. She helped us be closer to Kyle’s very special spiritual place which we are eternally grateful for. Judy & Marc Morris host an annual Sharing Hope Dinner Dance at Maggiano’s minutes away from the new Macy’ Centerton location which provides crucial funding for our brain tumor fund in honor of Judy’s battle and survival many years ago! Each of our partners have become very close friends as well as supporters and are very valued to all of us. We were joined by very special surprise guests too, the Philadelphia Phillies Phanatic & his PHRIEND Kourage! It’s a true honor to work alongside Macy’s all year long to help our beloved families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis. They are a beautiful golden partner!! 💛🐞🎗️

Very very cool

Amazing!!!

A very big Happy Birthday shout out and big hug of gratitude to Upper Dublin’s rock star resident, friend and math teacher Barb Mass!!

Barb held a “Dance your Mass off” birthday celebration in honor of her milestone birthday at the Institute of Dance Artistry (Official) last night led by the incredible instructor Ali Isaacman.

Barb kindly asked for friends to bring school supplies for Kisses for Kyle families for our Spring School Supply Drive instead of gifts for herself.❤️

What a showing of support it was, with a car load full of supplies to kick off our distribution for the Fall! 🥳

Please reach out to us if you’d like to help with your own collection!

Our @kissesforkyle families received the extremely special opportunity to be invited back this year to the White House Easter Egg Roll through @flotus The Office of the First Lady on Monday! It’s such an honor to be included to offer this unique and exciting experience to our beloved families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis. It’s been very moving hearing families reaching out to express their sincere gratitude. This following quote warmed our hearts in knowing what this day meant:

“We wanted to let you know that it was such an honor to be able to go for White House Easter Egg Roll! It definitely is an unimaginable and golden experience that we had! So much gratitude to your team, we thank you very much for this wonderful opportunity! It was very well managed by the White House and it’s staff/volunteers, timed right, helping hands at every stage, so many fun activities, kids favorite characters, music, band, crafts, right in front of White House were excellent! The rain could not damper the spirit even one bit! Our daughter enjoyed the Egg Roll the most and so excited to meet characters. It was so worth it! Public only gets the I see the White House our site the fence usually, but for this event, it was like a star-struck moment for us to enter the White House! We got to send our special Thank You notes to the military who serve the Country and protect us all day and night. It was an emotional and proud event for us to participate in! Thank you very much for providing families like us this opportunity!

Our hearts are filled with an abundance of gratitude and happiness. We hope you enjoy these photos as much as us🐰🐣💛🐞🎗️ #childhoodcancerawareness #kissesforkyle #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #WhiteHouse #EasterEggRoll
